Note:Though not one of the best of Swathi Krithis, this was the most well known of his Krithis in the 19th Century. It has been published in western notation by Captain C R Day in England in late 19th century (see photo gallery/articles).
Oh the one who has lotus like face! Please protect me. One who is worshipped by sages like SANAKA and others.
I am submerged in the shoreless dreadful ocean of SAMSARA. Compassionately protect me.
One who danced on the hood of the serpent KALIYA with a bent hand and a charming face. Oh Lord! You are like the full moon in the ocean of GOKULA. adorned with musk-KASTURI in the broad forehead; the form resembling the dark blue sky; the star of the YADU clan.
Oh the progenitor of Cupid! Adorned with a gem studded garland; oh SAURE! one who talks sweetly; attracts the learned people; bestower of boons to those who worship him. He is to the hordes of sins what axe is to the mountain. Oh the delightful one!
One who has the glory of dispelling the fear of the entire world. Oh the unparallel one! Always dwell in my heart. Oh the compassionate one! The one who delights in exhibiting the valour against the demons. Oh PADMANABHA! who recline on the king serpent!
