Pattanam Subramaniya Iyer (1845- 1902)


He started learning music from his uncle Melathur Ganapathi Sasthri. He became an expert in rendering Thygaraja Kritis. He has written songs in tamil, Telugu and Sanskrit.His compositions include keerthanas, varnans, javalis etc. He composed a new raga kadanakuthoohala.He was a very simple person and humility was the mark of his personality.
