RAMA! Oh RAMA! Protect me; the one who is dark like the clouds.
One who reduces the burdens of the earth, oh RAGHAVA! Personification of awareness!
One who broke the bow of SIVA-the vanquisher of Cupid; subjugator of the mighty BHARGAVA, and the embodiment of bliss to the world!
You banished the MARICA, who appeared in the disguise of the golden deer, for the sake of your consort. You were to RAVANA what wind was to dense clouds. Oh infinite one!
You shine gloriously in the company of SUGRIVA the-son of the sun and ANJANEYA-the son of VAYU; the storehouse of valour. PADMANABHA! Who is perceived through the scriptures. Always-Oh RAMA! Protect me!
