Sl. No. 14; Alarsara paritaapam; Surutti; Chaapu; Padam; Malayaalam.
Artist: Dr. B. Arundhathi.
Note:
Easily, among the best of Swathi padams, noted for its bhava as well as the literary beauty. A favourite of Late Dr Semmangudi, this has also been sung by many an artist.

Oh maiden with dark tresses like the swarm of bees! I am unable to recount the intensity of the onslaught of the Cupid, the one with flowers for arrows!
The sun, who is the friend of lotus, has set in the ocean. The gentle breeze which comes from the mountain, makes me wilt. Oh dear companion! I am overwhelmed with desire in my heart.
Oh my dear KALMOZHI- honeyed speech! Since the longingness is mounting in my heart, my body has become weary. Even listening to the humming of the swarm of bees in the flower garden causes irritation in me.
Even the moon, which has risen now, has become red-hot embers to me. The Cupid has become my foe, dear friend! With a face like the moon! Please, go to my beloved and tell Him about my longing. Oh friend with beautiful teeth!
My beloved JALAJAKSHA is gorgeous like the clouds, and is most pure. He is ABJANABHA. Has He no mercy one me? Why this delay? Is He angry with me? Please fulfil my desires expeditiously.
